Student Volunteer Program

Have you ever wondered how annual meeting presentations work behind the scenes? Now is your chance to be a part of the action!

Volunteer as a session facilitator for the technical program.

  • Receive a 50% discount on your annual meeting registration rate.
  • Expand your professional network.
  • Gain communication and facilitation skills.
  • Receive a certificate upon completion of the program.

Most of all, you will get to have fun! You will contribute to a positive meeting experience for in-person and remote attendees.

“I have presented posters at several AOCS meetings over the last few years and have found these gatherings to be an excellent platform for presenting my work to a targeted audience with a high level of expertise. In my experience, the poster presentations are effective at facilitating considerable engagement with conference attendees.”
-Jessica Beekman, Ph.D., Research Chemist, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, USA

"I absolutely felt amazed with the ease that AOCS provided me as a presenter. Although skeptical in the beginning, all doubts disappeared when I realized how easy all the technical people who worked hard in the background made it for me. It was a great virtual experience and as flawless as it could be and with rewarding results and metrics. Thank you AOCS staff!"
-Apostolos Pappas, PhD, Senior Dermatology Consultant, Nogra Pharma and Entrinsic Biosciences, Switzerland

“Presenting our research poster at AOCS was a great experience and we received a lot of inquiries from other attendees. AOCS made it very easy to connect with others and build necessary relationships to promote our project.”
