Hot Topic Symposia

Hot Topic Symposia

The AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo is more than just a conference — it is a prime opportunity to advance your career and grow your network, all in one place. Professionals from all over the world come together online and in-person to share insights and perspectives while building new connections.

Hot Topic Symposia

With the constant evolution of emerging technologies, innovative research and updated regulations, industry must keep up. The Hot Topic Symposia is a chance for us to come together to learn how critical shifts and related transformations, both current and on the horizon, may impact the business of fats, oils, proteins, surfactants, foods, home and personal care, biobased, and sustainable materials.

Submission System

The Hot Topic Symposia is populated by session ideas submitted by volunteer organizers. Submit your session proposal via CadmiumCD for consideration.

Please carefully review the Guidelines & CadmiumCD User Guide (PDF) for detailed instructions regarding proposal submission, session presentation preparation, and more.

Submission Deadline

Session proposals will be collected via the CadmiumCD Abstract Scorecard from September 1, 2020, to January 29, 2021. Proposals received after the submission deadline will be placed on a waiting list and reviewed by the Program Committee only if time and space allows.

Registration Requirements

All session organizers and presenters are required to register and pay the appropriate registration fees to present and attend the AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo. Registration will be available beginning in January 2021. Session organizers and presenters are responsible for their own registration fees and any other expenses incurred in relation to the Annual Meeting.

Failure to register for the meeting by April 19, 2021, will result in a presenter’s automatic withdrawal from the official meeting program.
