Bioactive Lipids
Bioactive lipids are dietary fats that can impact signaling pathways including inflammation, immune regulation, neurological health, and risk of chronic disease. We are looking for abstract submissions on the examination of lipid mediators including oxylipins, fatty acids and their metabolic products, and eicosanoids, and endocannabinoids and their impact on human health, precision fermentation, and other technologies to generate molecules or special lipids; translational insights and clinical intervention studies are highly encouraged.
Oil Extraction Co-Products and Health Animal fats and vegetable oils are essential products of the food oil industry and their production results in co-products including press cakes, meals, fiber and starch, and other phytochemicals that could impact human health. This session will highlight the nutrient profile, bioactivity, and uses of these co-products and how they are related to human health.
Precision Nutrition
Precision nutrition moves beyond one-size fits all recommendations to strategize health recommendations to the individual's biology lifestyle, and environmental exposure. Critical challenges and opportunities in biomarkers and analytics, data privacy and ethics, clinical trial design for personalization, and behavioral change and science will be discussed.
