Call for Papers

The AOCS Annual Meeting brings together the global community of chemists, nutritionists, engineers and business leaders who are advancing the science of fats, oils, proteins, surfactants and related materials. Each year, hundreds of abstracts are submitted to AOCS for consideration. AOCS invites you to present your work to this diverse audience of peers and leading industry experts.

Submissions for oral presentations are closed, but you can still submit an abstract for a poster presentation until February 15, 2021.

How to Submit an Abstract

Authors wishing to contribute papers to the AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo must submit an abstract for review by the Program Committee and session chairpersons.

The CadmiumCD Abstract Scorecard is the online meeting programming system used by AOCS presenters, Program Committee members, and session chairpersons to submit, view, review, and edit abstracts for the AOCS Annual Meeting.

Explore Technical Session Topics

Technical sessions at the meeting are organized according to ten interest areas. Find the right audience for your work by exploring the sessions planned in each area.

Submission Deadlines

The deadline for submitting an oral presentation is January 15, 2021.

The deadline for submitting a poster presentation is February 15, 2021.

Abstracts received after the submission deadline will be placed on a waiting list and reviewed by the Program Committee and session chairpersons only if time and space allows.

Registration Requirements

All presenters are required to register and pay the appropriate registration fees to present and attend the AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo. Registration will be available beginning in January 2021.

Presenters are responsible for their own registration fees and any other expenses incurred in relation to the Annual Meeting. Invited speakers should contact their Division Vice Chairperson or Session Chairperson to clarify invitation terms.

Session Chair Guidelines

Session chairs, in cooperation with the AOCS Program Committee, develop technical program sessions using a combination of invited and volunteer abstracts. It is expected that each session chair will perform the necessary abstract reviews, attend check-in calls with their Division Vice Chair, meet the established deadlines and provide feedback on session development.
